Along with servicing markets across Canada with a complete line of products for lightweight and standard concrete roof tile systems, Unicrete also custom coats and distributes fibre cement siding for Alberta and British Columbia. Crane Operator

Unicrete Products Ltd. is currently looking for a full-time crane operator. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player and ideally have experience with a knuckle boom crane and roof top deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

· A typical load will be 30 pallets of tiles and accessories up to 2400 lbs per pallet

· The odd Saturday delivery will be required

Qualifications

· Class 1 license with air is a must

· Picker operator experience

· Experience with knuckle boom and rooftop deliveries

· Excavator experience

· Truck and trailer experience

· Hoist operator

Yard Foreman

Are you a highly organized individual with the ability to lead others? Do you come from a shipping/receiving background and still have the ability to jump on the forklift once in a while? Are your customer service skills second to none? If you answered yes to all of these questions then we would like to introduce you to a great new job opportunity.

The Yard Foreman is a key player on the Unicrete team and is responsible for leading a crew of 3-4 workers in our yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our shipping and receiving, managing our forklift team and scheduling and coordinating deliveries. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years in a leadership role and will have the ability to direct and delegate tasks.

Key Responsibilities

· Direct 3-4 employees in the yard

· Oversee shipping and receiving

· Coordinate deliveries

· Provide excellent customer service to walk-in customers

· Monitor stock levels

· Have the ability to jump on the forklift at times

· Plan ahead for new tile production

· Monitor pallet inventory

· Participate in quarterly inventories

· Keep yard organized

Sales Representative

Are you a highly motivated people person? Does the term “self starter” describe you to a tee? Do you have a passion for sales as well as residential construction knowledge? If you answered yes to these questions then we would like to introduce you to a great new opportunity.

The new Sales Representative at Unicrete will be a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for the sale of our residential and commercial building products. Your responsibilities will include effective and efficient day to day support to a wide base of clients in an established territory, as well as developing new clients to grow our business. The ideal candidate will be an energetic individual with construction trades experience who is looking to develop a career in sales. It will be considered an asset if you already have sales experience. You will possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, as well as strong Microsoft Office skills. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the drive and persistence to close a sale. You will be comfortable making presentations to large groups and are able to multitask in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Sell high-end concrete roofing tiles to new and existing customers

· Provide technical support for customers

· Various marketing and sales initiatives

· Develop new clients

· Prepare sales reports

· Prepare and deliver presentations

Qualifications

· Periodically travel over night (2-4 days per month)

Concrete Quality Control Technician

Do you have in depth knowledge of the concrete industry, including all aspects of testing and concrete mix design? Are your Microsoft Office skills top notch? Do you have strong time management and organizational skills? If you answered yes to these questions then we would like to introduce you to a great new opportunity.

The Concrete Quality Control Technician will report directly to the General Manager and will oversee concrete tile testing and quality control. A concrete background and prior knowledge of concrete batch plant control systems is a strong asset. The ideal candidate will have experience with production machinery, will be mechanically inclined and a great problem solver. Post secondary education in a field such as Civil Engineering would be an appropriate prerequisite. This is a permanent, year-round position that is fast paced with tight deadlines.
